AIE/ADT Eclipes 2020-03: Syntax Highlighting/Code Completion Missing for Access Controls

Hi there,

we encountered missing syntax highlighting and code completion for access controls in ADT for Eclipse 2020-03 (same for 2020-06).

Everything else (methods etc) works fine in terms of highlights and completion. Did anyone else have the same issue or a solution to it?

Hello Michael,

can you please update your ADT plugins from https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/latest, as described on https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/#abap

This is not just a standard answer, there is actually a good chance that an ADT update can fix this kind of issue.

I understood that you use the newest available Eclipse 2020-06, but that does not necessarily mean that your ADT plugins are also fully up to date.

thank you for yor reply. We already use Software Development Tools 2020-03 and 2020-06/latest for the corrresponding version of eclipse. Sorry for not mentioning that.

Thanks for the update. I can confirm that the ADT version numbers look good. I asked the corresponding colleagues on SAP side whether they can take a look into this.

Switch form Dark Theme to Light Theme in Eclipse.
I mean currently there is a bug in Eclipse Dark Theme.

I'm note sure if it's the bug in your case.

Anyway, the Context assistant doesn't work there.

The bug has already been reported.

what I just learned is that both syntax highlighting and code conmpletion work fine with S/4. Left is S/4, right ist R/3 for the same access control:

The issue was solved with ADT 3.12.2.
