i want to do some checking when users use the t-code 'mb1b' to save data.

what shoud i do using smod and cmod?

Hi,

Yes - read documentation to both FM and extension. There are some issues regarding COMMITs, MESSAGEs and so on which you should be aware of..

CMOD is acronym for Customer Modifications

SMOD is acronym for SAP Modifications.

In CMOD we create a project in which we assign an enhancement to a project.

you can also check for existing user exit for the tcode mb1b.

Goo tcode se93-> enter mb1b->display-> double click on the program name-> go to edit->find/next and search for the string "user_exit" or "userexit" in the main progam. Then you will get the list of all the user exits implemented for this tcode.
