ABAP in Eclipse - network configuration - ports

Hi,

I want to connect to my Netweaver 7.5 CRM EHP 4 system with ABAP in Eclipse.

The following error occurs:

     Logon to system XXX failed (partner 'YYYYYY.wdf.sap.corp:3390' not reached)

Ok, actually this is no surprise to me as the port 3390 on the machine YYYYYY.wdf.sap.corp is closed.

Where can I configure the port used by ABAP in Eclipse ?

How to configure the port Netweaver is listening to for a connection from ABAP in Eclipse ?

Where can I find general information of how to set up a system for development with ABAP in Eclipse?

Hi Philipp,

ABAP-in-Eclipse uses Remote Function Calls (RFC via JCo) for communication with the ABAP system. So you have to configure your NetWeaver for incoming RFC calls.

Can you explain in detail how one can configure NetWeaver for incoming RFC calls, so

that it is possible to connect with ABAP-in-Eclipse, please?

The document you mentioned is helpful, but it does not contain the information of how to configure the network settings.
