ABAP debugging technique

Hi experts,

Can anyone guide me how to go about performing effective debugging? What steps are involved, how to check data has filled into the tables etc. A pictorial depiction would be really appriciated.

We are using ERP 7.0.

4 function keys are f8, f5 , f6 and f7.

while doing debug go through this each function keys.

You will only come to know.
