ABAP cannot find function module altough I can see it!

Hi,

There is a function module in our system called "GUI_DOWNLOAD" which is used to download an internal table to the PC desktop.

but when I call it a get a runtime error that the function does not exist. I have copy/ paste the name to ensure that I havent misspelled the name.

When I double click on the function module name the ABAP editor also says the function module does not exist.

But in se84 I can search for it and it shows,

does anyone have any idea what the problem can be?

regards

Baran

1. in se38, u can press Ctrl+F6

I might add that in se 84 when you search for it over the name it is called a "frontend service".

can this has something to do with it?

HI Baran,

Instead of copy & paste. Use PATTERN button, in that you are asked for the function module name.Type FM name and press enter. Then after you can see FM in your program with all interface parameters. Before doing all these things, first log off and log on.

Let me if you required any further info.
