SAP GUI Logon error

When I am trying to logon to Production server through SAP GUI 710 , I am getting a logon error 88. Then I check the network connectivity and also the services file, SAPmsg.ini . Everything is fine. Even I reinstalled the SAP GUI but it does not worked .

I also tried the following :

1. click Start Menu -> Run

2. Type sapgui < hostname> <system number>

3. click ok now

I got the following message dispalyed

"Connection to application server broken

WSATYPE_NOT_FOUND"

I added a

entry for "sapdp<sid> 3600/tcp" in the file

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services

IMPORTANT - if you add at last position it do not work...but works when u add at first place

As many suggested and error changed...to CONNECTION TO PARTNER .......... BROKEN

looks like suggestion is working....

please advise what else need to get done ...to resolve above problem
