Hi Mohamed,
Load tests are often used to simulate the expected daily load for a particular customer's business scenario. Stress or volume tests determine the breaking point or unacceptable performance point of a system. You would use these methods to demonstrate that the system meets performance criteria or to reflect peaks beyond the expected daily load.
Volume tests require good project planning and a large amount of resources for infrastructure and people. To predict the system behavior it is often sufficient to test the scalability of the system with a series of single user performance tests and varying workloads.
The SAP system offers a variety of monitoring tools such as ST03N to analyze the workload of the system.
If you want to analyze your own coding you should run a series of single user performance tests to verify that your scenario scales linearly before you start any load test.
If you only run business functions delivered by SAP you should do a sizing with your expected throughput expectations. This provides you with a recommendation of hardware requirements. See blog Efficient SAP Hardware Sizing: Quick Sizer .
Best regards,
Birgit
