I seen that Chennai were robbed of victory in the final : )

Just as well i kept my money in my pocket then...I also heard on the news this morning that the IPL has made over £800m in revenue, so i guess we can expect to see it again soon.

Rajasthan is proven to be the consistent all the tournment and its is paid off...

we can say the two top teams reached the final and the Best one got the cup..

Though Man of the series is watson ...the real man of the series is Yousuf Patan...although he is inexperieced he has batted/bowled very well to all international players..and Now named as Lucky person for finals.

Obviously, except that it looks like its going to be an interesting last day. My prediction: a declaration after the first session and then we will bowl India out just after tea for an Australian win.

In which case I think cricket will be the big winner.

You know it makes sense.

My guess is that it won't be a repeat of Sydney '07 moreover Oz don't have a quality tweaker.....

Well any way we are happy atleast india made the draw...

Cant get better from an Indian bowling point of view - Bhajji starts it all, Ishant chimes in, Zaheer joins the party and now Mishra wants to wrap it up. Good all round performance ," says Ravi.

This is the best fair way in revenge of Sydney's 07.

Remember this is the India's biggest run win since last 75 years

Cricket? Was there a game on somewhere?

But seriously, good effort by India, but an even better one from Bangladesh.

There was on ODI between Zimbabwe and Kenya, poor Zimbabwe lost!

It is better you forget the Mohali match ASAP.

Ravi,

I hate to say it but it looks like I am going to have to learn to forget in advance. We still have more embarrasment left in India by the looks of it.

Sadly it makes sense

Australians are good losers. and by that I mean, they always take something back from a lost game and come back stronger. so yeah you can expect fireworks from them soon.

India has to prepare harder for the next game.

Completely disagree.

without any genuine spinner you cannot expect strong come back from Auzzies specially in sub continent.

Let me clear one more point about Punter as all cricket experts who taged him as most successful leader.... yes he was, but don't forget about contribution of Mcgrath,Warne,Gilly that time.

As statistics says out of last 63 test 37 times man of the match shared either between these three players.now the time has to come for Punter to prove his tag(best leader ever).

i guess he will not be able to sustain his tag anymore.

May be one reason of their shameful defeat is that this time Steve Buckner and Mark Benson not came with their squad

India has to prepare harder for the next game.

Australia has to prepare harder for the next game at Firozshah kotla(Its flat dusty track).I played few matches(U21) at same track from Rajasthan.

We already changed our gears up.

And see how Australian media reacts after Mohali defeats they are begging for Warne's comeback:

http://in.sports.yahoo.com/081021/139/6yu95.html

http://sports.in.msn.com/cricket/stories/article.aspx?cp-documentid=1683622

They lost their plot completely

No.

But we have to define phase of their retirement so that we can have their promising substitute like Rohit,Kaif,Yuvi otherwise may be we would face same situation like Auzzies as they are facing(Absence of Mcgrath,Warne,Gilly all lest Aussie at same time).

I still remember Terror of WI cricket in 1990 after that they are still declined their performance and not able to get back their image as like the time of Vivian Richards,Gary Sobers.....

So BCCI should define the phase of their retirement.

Just my 2 cents~

Interesting Amit.....Great honour to hear that our scn member is apart of indian cricket team.

Thats True...Thats really making so much sense....

But my criteria is just allow the persons who are playing perfectly..Dont bothering of age ...all other circumstances...See For example...

Once upon time we have pardhiv patel who is recruted as indian wicket keeper in age of 16...Though if he make 25 runs a match ...Every one praised him saying of his age he is playing more than....

Every one watched him as Best future indian wicket keeper although he did so many mistakes he has given so many chances..saying he will done through experience...But what happen at last...

Dhoni came into picture and Now no wicket keeper in near bye for almost 5-10 years...

wHAT Happen to the experience gained by Patel....

So my intention is just currently who is playing well..Just procced them..Dont have much deeper look into future which cant be predicted exactly....

No dude I'm was never a part of team india, I played a lots of domestic cricket(Ranji from North zone) from Rajasthan(U21).but somehow couldn't continue my Future with cricket cause of studies.

i had more reasons to quit cricket,as you can see there is very less chance for Rajasthan players to get their place in Team India cause of major BCCI selection committee is from Metro cities. But exception is there like Mahi(Caption of team india).so i prefer to continue with studies.

But i still love cricket very much,if time allows i often watch every match no matters is it Zimbabwe Vs Bangladesh test match

i still remember when Kaif smashes 27 runs in my one over, that match was played at Savai maan singh(Jaipur) in '02

Over statistics looks like:2,6,6nb,4,4,4nb,0,1.

Hummm....Really yar...when i was small i wonder....why this beautfiul game is played by only few teams...Why all the rest of countries (like US , russia , china only) are not involving....

So many people in our india are die hard fans of this game (Includes u & me ) ......Although india losses we still watch for ever and ever..

U words are intresting ....Kaif....Is a test player...How can he hit that many runs? Is your bowling bad or your team fielding bad?? Which includes sixers as well

Regards

Sas

Ps: I think u did a mistkae by discontuning cricket....U know BCCI has one scheme that if any one palyed for our india atleast one game also they will pay life long per month 25,000....Which includes all the facilities as well......What u say ?

Thank God you are a better Abaper than a bowler.

But on serious note, even getting to Ranji's is a big deal if you consider the number of applicants waiting in the queue. Good on ya, Mate.

Keep up the good work..... in ABAP that is.

Congrats to India on 2nd Test win.

I am not a happy Aussie.

It's not that we were beaten - it's that we played so badly and there doesn't seem to be any hope of a quick improvement.

> It's not that we were beaten - it's that we played so badly ..

1. Indian fast bowlers could reverse swing - Oz bowlers couldn't

2. 2 Indian batsmen scored hundreds and a few got high 50s - Oz highest score for the match 69

3. Indian tweakers took over 10 wickets - Oz tweakers?!

And still you say that?! but any which way you look at it India won by 320 runs!

Hi Ravi

You've missed a figure of speech here. Graham is saying the worser point is not JUST that we lost, but that we never even looked like improving. Your points are all accepted, and indeed you would have to be blind to miss them. At no stage was Graham suggesting India were not legitimate winners. What he was saying was that we were legitimate losers and by all the evidence we will lose the next time.

Hi Ravi,

I think Gareth pretty much summed it up. No need to be such a sore winner.

We shook hands at the end of the game, didn't we? C'mon guys you need to breath easier.

I think the one player you guys are missing is McGrath, he used to be so damn accurate, knocking out the top order for the likes of Warnie to finish the last rites. Warnie was never a threat for India and unless you find another McGrath, I reckon it would be extremely difficult for Oz to hold on the crown..........

The ACB called my mother last night to open the batting and inject some ticker into the Aussie attack. Hey Ravi, she may be younger than half your team! (just kidding)

Well, what can I say other than wishing India go for the jugular in Delhi after all the

pitch is a 'gift to Kumble' where, though Binga is doing the hard yards, reverse swing may not work!

Anyway, today is Diwali, and people will be celebrating in India with gusto,

setting off fireworks, etc. Here's wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous Diwali!

I was in Kathmandu during Diwali in 2000. Interesting fun walking through those narrow crowded streets and having people drop firecrackers on you.

Hey - maybe I have stumbled on a motivation tactic for the Aussies.

Are you suggesting I drop firecrackers on my Mum?

Gareth

Former Member

Yeah it reminds me of my childhood, we used to set these off right in

front of our house on the street. We would wake up at 3 AM to set off

our loudest 'bomb' and make a statement, I hope the Oz cricketers are

not too scared with this but I really want to see a good contest on the field from tomorrow not another one-sided game as in Mohali and Perth.

Perhaps your Mum could be the "drop-er" and the rest of the team could be the "drop-ee's"?
