I'm big fan of CE since version 7.0.  SAP Netweaver Composition Environment (NWCE) is the SAP Java development platform. I'm always keeping an eye on the development of SAP Java.

In CE 7.0, SAP start to support Java EE 5.

And then 7.1 and 7.11, there are new features with BPM and BRM, besides Web Dynpro and Visual Composer. I also noticed a big change with Guided Procedures.

And what's new in 7.2?

Java Functional Unit Configuration.

After installing SAP NetWeaver CE, configure your system initially with the Functional Unit Configuration UI. On this UI you get an overview of the functional units that are already installed on your SAP NetWeaver CE system. It makes the technical settings (technical configuration) for Java functional units in an automated way.

Before this,we have to perform SLD initial setup.

And another tip about NWDS on Vista or Windows 2008 x64.

There is no 64-bit NWDS by now. But NWDS will work on x64 OS with JDK 32-bit.

And add these lines to the SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.ini :
-Dos.name=Windows XP
-Dos.version=5.1
