Dear Community,
we have created a story table which should show around 4,000 rows. But obviously the table is limited to 500 or so as after 500 the table is empty. Interestingly enough the total sum is right and shows the sum of all 4.000 rows.
Is there a limitation in story tables? Or is there a way to overcome that? Thanks!
BR Wolfgang
Request clarification before answering.
You can change row limit for individual tables by changing "Drill limit option". This works for both story as well as apps/ designer. Option is not readily available under styling or designer. Instead you need to first get to a warning message like below, before you can get into drill limit option window.

Once you are inside the option window you are free to choose custom and unlimited .

Again this option only appears if your selected dataset in table try to show more than 500 rows or more than 60 columns or both.
If you change this setting during edit more and then save the changes, updated stays and if end user perform this change during run time change becomes temporary for this instance.
There are couple of enhancement available for voting. These enhancements will help support this feature better. Feel free to vote on them.

Hi, I have set the drill limitation to 500 but the alert on the table shows that it requested 24k rows. It's slow when loading the table even when the drill limitation is set to 500 or even 100.
Is there any way to set a Rank on the table chart for faster loading of the table chart?
Thank you

Debjit, Tuncay,
thanks a lot for this hint. I just tried but for me it doesn't work as I have around 30 columns. So the limitation is always the maximum number of 30.000 cells.
Or am I wrong?

FYI this limit can be removed (thouhg not recomended) by unchecking "Preservered recomeneded cell limit"
Thanks a lot, this was very helpful.

Hi Wolfgang,
I remember that limitation. Though you can increase this limit. There should be warning message on the top left corner of the table. Hover over the warning symbol and click on “Edit Drill Limitation” to increase the row limit.

Though you need to be concerned about performance; test and validate!
