Zoom does not work. Report shrinks but the text size does not change.

There is no tool for adding screen shots or uploading files available to regulare forum users. If you want to post an example of your issue you will need to find a way to upload your picture to a picture service, or to your own public website. You can then post the link to the image.

My application is web application IN VS2008,

Wheni select 25% in zoom button, Report is getting truncated, but not the size of text.

How to add screen shot output of report for reference?

Hi,

To attach snapshot try with this:

1: Click Printscreen on the keyboard

2: Open Paint (Microsoft paint from Start>All Programs>accessories --> Paint)

3: Click Edit and paste

4: Cut out the unnecessary images

5: Save the file as Jpeg (File --->Save As --->Jpeg)

6: Go to http://www.photobucket.com or http://www.flikr.com

7: Upload the image there

8: Open a new thread and click on the "chain" icon next to the icon which is next to the B I and U icons

9: Paste the link and Name the link

Hello again Swetha,

I created a simple web application that previews a report using VS 2008 and CR Basic for VS 2008, the bundled edition that ships with VS 2008. I changed the Zoom in the Crystal Reports Viewer control to 25% after running the application. The report, and all it's contents shrunk as expected - the size of the page shrunk, and all the text and objects shrunk as well.

I also previewed the report in the embedded Crystal Reports designer in the VS 2008 IDE - by clicking on the Main Report Preview tab for the Crystal Report. The Zoom button worked as expected here as well. The size of the page shrunk, as did the objects on the report.

In both cases the Group Tree was uneffected. The Group Tree remained at full size. This is expected behavior since it is designed to be a navigation aid and is not part of the report presentation.

You did not clarify where you're seeing this issue - at runtime, or in the VS IDE when previewing the report.

Have you applied any Microsoft or Crystal Reports service packs or patches to your VS 2008/CR 2008 Basic system for Visual Studios or CR 2008 Basic?

Cr version is 10.5.3700.0 .

As per my understanding CR 10 is not tested with Visual studio 2008. In this situation I would suggest you to check with latest version of CR which is supported with Visual studio 2008.

Crystal Reports Basic is version 10.5, and it is bundled with VS2008. The bundled edition is fully supported. Are you having an issue with the Zoom button when viewing your report at runtime in your .NET application? Is this a windows application, or a web application. Can you provide a fuller explanation of the behavior you're seeing when you click on the Zoom button?

- Try to use zoom button with the inbuild Sample reports.

- Create reports from Sample Xtreame Sample database and try using Zoom button.

I tried the same on CR 2008 and CR XI and it is giving the desired output.

What is the version of CR you are using?
