XML to EDI conversion issue

Hi Experts,

I am trying to convert XML to EDI via xml to edi converter in SAP CPI. EDI format is 828-4010.

I also tried to send test data downloaded from ICA via content modifier to XML to EDI converter, The error I am getting is: Invalid Payload: XML TO EDI CONVERSION cannot process the payload.

As there is no specific error I am not able to find exact issue in the payload.

Any pointers on how can we check what the issue is?

Could you please attach the XML you trying to convert?

You can log the XML content with the following Groovy script:

import com.sap.gateway.ip.core.customdev.util.Message;
import java.util.HashMap;
def Message processData(Message message) {
    def body = message.getBody(String.class);
    def messageLog = messageLogFactory.getMessageLog(message);
    if(messageLog != null){
        messageLog.addAttachmentAsString("ResponsePayload:", body, "text/xml");
     }
    return message;
}

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your reply, I figured out why it was erroring out, the interchange envelops were missing hence it was giving the error. The place where I am stuck now is, The xsd available from ICA doesn't contains interchange segments. For e.g. I downloaded 828-4010 xsd from ICA and all the fields/segments are inside M_828 segments with no ISA and IEA segments. If you are aware of it can you help me understand if we have to add them manually ?
