Workflow for PR release...

Dear Gurus,

Am new to workflow. I want to create a worflow for PR release.

Can you please provide me step by step details of which workflow to use and how to trigger the workflow when PR is release.

It will be really helpful if you provide me step by step details of how to create this workflow.

Hi Bharat,

Please go through the Standard PR Release Workflow is --> WS20000077.

Business Object for PR Release is --> BUS2105 (Purchase requisition)

Hi,

I have gone through that workflow.

But tell me how to activate this workflow and how will user get mail wether to approve or reject the PR.

Is there any configuration to make for this.

IN the Txn SWE2 you have to activate the event linkage, or

Open the workflow template in the txn PFTC and open the basic data of the workflow under the Start events activate the event linkage

Hi,

PR Workflow

WS20000077 this std. Workflow for the PR Release this has multiple levels of approvals, Depends on the no. of approvals it will flow.

The approver can picked using the User Exit M06B0001 (EXIT_SAPLEBNF_001), here you have to write a logic to pick the Approver.

The approval workitem comes to SAP Inbox, once the approver click the workitem it will open the Transaction, there the user can approve.

To see the status of the Workflow, Go to ME53N, in the top left a button, Service Object, click on that, a drop down appear in Workflow > Workflow Overview, you can see the status here.

In ME53N, in the top left a button, Service Object, click on that, a drop down appear in Workflow > Workflow Overview, you can see the status here.

In the status its showing error .

Please tell me how to check this error and resolve it.

The PR WS00000038 standard Workflow is very simple, you don't have to create a new one, it works, the think is that you need to make some configs in the SPRO

spro

Material Management/Purchaising/Purchase Requisition/ Release Procedure / Procedure With Clasification / Set up procedure with classification/ Workflow

In this config you need to add the: Release Group / release code / object type( US for user id's) / and the User. You have to add one line for each release code that you configured in your release strategies.

After that you have to review the linkage table Tcode: SWETYPV, find the object type BUS2105 and activate the linkage for the event releaseStepCreated, in this you will see the WS00000038.

I have done the configuration , but in SWETYPV there WS20000077 entry for BUS2105.

Tell me wht i have to do after this , since i am still not able to receive mail for approve or reject.
