Will Odata Soft State Lock also create an enqueue lock?

Hi All,,

I know we can achieve locking from UI5/Fiori end by using odata soft state, however not sure whether the lock will behave same way as when lock is created when running transaction from sap gui.. What i mean to ask is whether it will create an enqueue lock as well so that the same object is locked when accessing from gui as well, as in stateful behavior?

Please enlighten here and do share if any references.
