Why is SM13 tcode used?

Please guide me as to why SM13 tcode is used and for what purpose?

Hi,

You access update management from the SAP initial screen either by choosing Tools ® Administration ® Monitor ® Update, or by entering /nsm13 in the OK code field.

Update management supports the following functions:

Selecting and Displaying Updates

Analyzing Canceled Updates

Reorganize update records

Configuring Update Groups

Display and reset update statistics

Display update server

Hi Rohit,

It is too see the status of the Updates

When you are doin extraction, Update process generally happens in these phases:

Doc Update -> V1/V2 Update -> V3 update

By this transaction,using the client ID & User ID..you can see the status of update for your extraction & How many records are updated

If the update process stops/or shows error in between you can Repeat the Update Process here ( Repeat Update button)
