What is the difference between local branches vs remote branch in GitHub

Hi Experts,

I am newbie to using the GitHub in local WEBIDE . Able to do the push , fetch and rebase operations in Git , But don't know about the merge and branches. Can any one of you please help me to do the merge.

I am sure someone will come on here and "dump" some "copy paste" info for you. However, my best advice....take the 30 minutes or so to do anyone of the numerous FREE online courses on Git/Github.....like.....
