Hi Honar,

RSA5 -> Datasources of the business content

RSA6 -> Active dataSources in the current system.

Thanks,

I could understand bit from the screen itself...

But just wanted to clerify..

RSA5--- if you r activating any SAP given DS then it should be done from RSA5 ...correct ?

What if i have to make some changes to my DS ( SAP given ), then i should use RSA6 and save it....but if you see there is no Activate Datasource Option in RSA6. so how do you activate that DS you have just modified ?

Also, where do i see my Generic Ds ? Only in RSA6 ? and if so then how do we activate generic DS ? or we dont need to activate those ?

thanks

Right

You only activate dataSource from the business content (RSA5). Already active dataSource can be saved with the RSA6 and replicate from the RSA1 but don't need to be activated.

Yes

and if so then how do we activate generic DS ? or we dont need to activate those ?

No need for an activation

Generic data sources do not require activation . Active versions are available in RSA6 .
