What is SAPCONTROL Folder

hi,

I see a folder name SAPCONTROL in the /sapmnt/global

I see that a file is creaated with 1 KB in this folder

Please let me know the use of this folder and the reason of why a file is created

Please guide

hi dear...

Each application server has an SAP control file known as the Profile, which

contains the z/OS IP host name, the ICLI well-known connection port, while ICLI stand for Integrated Call Level Interface (SAP software)

This file is also created in SAP Servers without Applicaton servers

This directory was created at the time of SAP Diagnostics Agent (SMD) instance...

As per this note

I think you don't need to worry about.... rather you should if it is not created....
