Multi dimensional Means, all your facts are in center and dimesionsions are surrounded them.

All the histoircal data(master data) is stored in Dimesions and your Fact Data ( Transactional Data) is stored in Fact Table.

You can analyse the facts like price, revenue based on the characterstics(Dimensions Material, Company etc...)
