Web Intelligence Rich Client crashes

I hope this is the correct forum for getting help.

I have an issue where Web Intelligence Rich client is crashing as soon as I start it up. I have windows 7 64 bit OS.

The Application event log has this in it:

Faulting application name: WebIRichClient.exe, version: 14.0.2.364, time stamp: 0x4de99a81

Faulting module name: TraceLog-4-0.dll, version: 14.1.0.896, time stamp: 0x514a423d

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Fault offset: 0x00026864

Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\WebIRichClient.exe

Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\TraceLog-4-0.dll

Hi,

That is your problem right there with mismatched server and client product version; you have webi rich client at version BI4.0 SP02 while your BI server is BI4.1.

Hope upgrade the BI4.1 client would resolve this WebIRichClient.exe start up issue.

We have found out that Installing Crsytal Reports 2013 or the Dashboard product causes the issue. We had to uninstall those products. I guess we installed the 4.1 versions.

Can you help me?

Once I click to open my WebI Rich Client, the process being created at Task Manager, and remains active by 3-5 minutes, then the process closes itself. If I try to open WebI Rich Client again, the process does not starts anymore.

My co worker had the same problem and he opened a ticket to SAP, that did not solved his problem. He has uninstalled and installed about 3 times all the BO application and was not resolved.

Do you know what kind of problem we can have here?
