Web Client Extension tutorial

I'm new to developing in sap, I'm trying to learn from the “How to Develop Web Client Extensions” pdf book and I try to follow the steps it gave but the version of the tutorial is fiori 1.15.1 and the version I downloaded is fiori 1.16.3. I'm learning until 3.1.5.1 Creating a Service Calls Fiori App, I have no idea how to change the format and data because the tutorial tell me to change the file code but I not even see the file. Can anyone help me?
