Hi,
I think there is no proper RFC communication between BI and WAD. Ask your BASIS team to configure the connection between both. It's a BASIS job.

Hi RaviChandra,
Happy Independence Day!! It's great that you work today also.........
Step 1: Create the Queries in BEx Query Designer
Step 2: Create the corresponding Web Templates in WAD
/people/nikhil.chowdhary2/blog/2006/03/20/sap-web-application-designer-150-creating-a-simple-web-template-with-multiple-queries
Step 3: Creation of i-view in EP
Step 4: You can start running reports in Portal
Pre-Requisite: A proper RFC communication between BEx->WAD->Portal is required

hi,
our consultant´s faces the same problem with the wad (sap web application designer).
is solfed this with this howto:
open visual admin -> service JCo RFC Provider -> Available RFC listeners and then the rfc connection what points to your backand R3 System zb.(SERVERNAME_PORTAL_>SID<)
Restart this Service/RFC Connection with the Button on the left bottom of the window STOP | START.
And you not ned to restart the J2ee Cluster.
A reason for this topic coult be a networkproblem.
best regards
Julius
Hi,
Also please refer to note 937697.
Please take the supportdesk file and check whether it has any RED entry which refers to RFC issue.
If yes please correct it and then check the WAD issue.

Amit

Hi,
It seems the problem is with RFC connection.
You can test the RFC connection whether the IP is called correclty or not.
IP addrees if changes, then due to this you will be getting this issue.
This can be done in tcode SM59.

Amit

Hi,
Error RSBOLAP 017 > is related to configuration issue. So please
check the BI master system setting as per the note:
917950 - SAP NetWeaver 2004s: Setting Up BEx Web.
Also check below note
916090 - RFC-error messages in Web Application Designer 2004

Thanks,
Venkat
