Hi all,
I am looking to see if I can use the SI EMAIL ADDRESS placeholder in anything other than email?
Basically, we have the remedy universe ITSM and I know what a nightmare that is! It has been set up with all users logging in with their email address, however our BI 4 application uses a different login ID. We do have the email address filled in.
I am wondering if there is a way I can put into the universe something that tells it to look up the email address in the user account (currently it uses @variable ( bouser) to check the user login and of course there is no match).
Hoping someone can help!

As long as the email id is not updated while creating user you cannot extract it from repository.
Thanks

Hi Sorry I don't understand what you are saying. We have the BMC ITSM universe and there is a people table in there with all the users email addresses. We log into BI using Employee ID.
I have created a user attribute to take the contents of %SI EMAIL ADDRESS% and I have created both an object and a filter in the universe to reference the attribute and compare to the field in the table.
It seems to work .... but throws up a prompt.
Is there anyway I can turn the prompt off??
