Unknown Database Connector Error

I noticed one of my reports receiving an following error: "Unknown Database Connector Error" I've seen someone else post on another thread about getting this message in CMC but not in Developer.

I use InfoView and Developer - InfoView version works fine, but when I open the same report and attempt to refresh, I get this error.

I was planning on making a minor change (add one more option to drop-down list on a parameter, and adjusting a record selection criteria)

Just for testing purpose, I made the change anyway and uploaded back to InfoView. It works fine.

I've tried two other similar reports, which uses the same database, and one works fine in developer, one seemed to have crashed (ended program after no response)

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Test the following things:

1.Create a new report based on the same connection and check whether the error persists.

2.Make a new connection to the same database and use the 'Set Datasource Location' option under 'Database' tab.

3.Check whether this issue is occuring on 1 machine or several machines.

Thanks

Thank you Prathamesh.

Option 1 fixes the issue. Option 2 didn't work, and Option 3 is a "yes" on at least one other co-worker of mine. Another person is going to try and see if it happens to him as well.

I wonder what the underlining cause to this problem is.

I had the exact same report updated back in September 08. Perhpas some change in our system would be the root cause.

One of the three reports is still having the same issue, the Unknown Database Connector Error, even after re-building.

(This is the one that crashes the developer in the first message on this thread)

Any suggestions?

Please re-post if this is still an issue to the Business Objects Forum or if you have a valid support contract create a case on line. If not then you may purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with you directly
