Unicode Text fields issue while exporting from Crystal Report Viewer to PDF

Hi Friends,

I am encountering an issue to export from Crystal Report Version 13.0.23.2819 Viewer to PDF.

The report has English and Arabic (Unicode) text fields. It shows in the Viewer correctly and perfects printing. However, when I export it into PDF SOME OF THEM Arabic (Unicode) text jumble but most of them are CORRECT in PDF. Although all text fields have the same font and size.

For example,

In Crystal Report View = شخص

In Printing = شخص

In the Development environment, while editing the text = شخص

In the Development environment, after editing the text = ش خ ص

In PDF = ش خ ص

I am also surprised if there any dependency issue so, all should have the same issue.

Kindly try to help me out.

Thanks for your reply. However, the path which you sent it is correct and I updated New - DWORD named UseCustomEncoding and set its Value 0. But I face the same problem.

I would suggest to try UseCustomEncoding registry key:

but I am not sure about the correct path for Crystal Report Version 13.0.23.2819 Viewer. It could be

• For Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 and above:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0 - (on 64 bit OS)
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0
