Transformations connected automatically

Hi Experts,

When ever we are create transformations to particular data source to cube the transformations will not be generate automatically why? we need to connect manually each field to each info object? It is very difficult to find The particular field to info object and connected?

Please help me how to generate automatic transformations?while creating transformations

Hi,

Are the infoobjects used in the data source and the cube same? and have the same technical name?

The transformation will automatically map the source fields to the target fields if the infoobjects used in the source and the target are the same.

If not the system cannot identify the mapping and also if it maps few fields it might be correct/wrong.

Hi,

the generation will be better in BW7.3. a promise of SAP.

But I haven't test it until now.

When you use customer fields/infoobjects then the system can't generate the mapping.

=> perhaps: the customer can maintain the mapping fields himself. However, SAP does not ask its customers what they would like.
