Total CPU Usage 100

Hi all,

I am doing first steps with HXE 20 SP01. Same Hardware setup as in HXE 20 (VMware 12 GB RAM). Whereas 20 works fine, now 20 SP01 is very slow after a couple of minutes (without touching the system!). E.g. statement HDB info takes a minute to execute (it executes immedeatly right after database start). System monitor shows CPU usage of 100.

I deactivated statistics server (this saves ressources according to a HANA academy video). No improvement.

What else can I do?

Please share some additional information on this issue

1. CPU Usage Statistics
2. Tenant Containers, if any
3. OS Level - Process Thread Usage info (No. of Process and their consumption)

Besides SAP Note : 2100040 [FAQ: SAP HANA CPU] can help you out.

In the meantime CPU usage is normal. seemed to be a startup issue.

Update how this story went on: After upgrade of host to 32GB RAM (from 16GB) and VM to 24GB RAM (from 12GB) the HANA runs a lot better!!

How much memory does the computer have?

16 GB in total

Update: After DB is running for a while (without touching), CPU goes down. Maybe this was just an issue of startup...
