Dear Guru's,

Last few weeks the system performance has been very slow. Also my DSO fail to activate on weekends with resource error . Upon observation i noticed that the DIA work processes are always fully occupied.

How should i make sure, if it is an issue with the Basis Tables or BW ?

1) All my DTP's taking very long hours. Which tables i should be checking .

I cheked RSBERRORLOG table and it has 0 entries in it.

2) I observe that all my loads getting struck with the error Time limit exceeded error in SM58 in source system .Below are the table sizes:

rdisp/max_wprun_time is set to 10800 sec

ARFCSSTATE - 152 entries

ARFCRSTATE - 3160 entries

ARFCSDATA   - 21,239 entries

TRFCQOUT     - 10 entries

rest 0 entries

ECC

ARFCSSTATE - 2,584,487

ARFCRSTATE - 23 entries

ARFCSDATA   - 6,149,489 entries

TRFCQOUT     - 2,583,278 entries

could it be a cause ? Should be checking any thing else?

Thanks & Regards,

Sudhir

Hi,

Before this problem, any updates were applied on your servers?

Have you performing house keeping activities regularly.

one more thing now days your source may be having more transactions, due that loading may taking more time rather than usual time. if possible ask basis team to increase the time limit for your info pack loads.

Info pack--> scheduler--> time out time.

at ECC side basis team was clearing thr TRFC's at SM58.

House keeping activities need to be perform at your source as well as bw systems.

Involve basis team and sort it out it.

Thanks

Hi Janardhan,

please check the below information.

ST02 -Check other memory areas also like Heap memory and Extended memory, Shared, Roll area and Page area.

DB02 - Table space. Check the table space data. Whether the table space if sufficient or not.

SM37 -for checking back ground jobs. Go to SM37 --> Give * in job name and user name field and Select "Active" check box

SM66 Global work process over view. Here you can see all current running jobs

SM04 User list. Here you can see Users list which are currently running

SM50 and SM51 Check all application servers are active and how many BG and DIA processes are available. If BG processes are not available your job may wait for the BG process.

Change log and PSA table clean up-- As some others said please delete change log and PSA tables old data.

SE11-- Select the psa table and change log table name

Parallel start a trace ST05/SE30 or ST12 for that process chain.

ST05 and ST06.

mean while please find the below document.
