Started short dumping after EHP5 upgrade, for example dump creates when saving a user in SU01.

Here's the dump result

Category               ABAP Programming Error
Runtime Errors         SYNTAX_ERROR
ABAP Program           CL_IM_CVI_ADDRESS_UPD_IMPL====CP
Application Component  AP-MD-BF-SYN
Date and Time          08/21/2012 15:34:19

Short text
Syntax error in program "CL_IM_CVI_ADDRESS_UPD_IMPL====CP ".

What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "CL_EXIT_MASTER================CP" had to be
      terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

The following syntax error occurred in program
      "CL_IM_CVI_ADDRESS_UPD_IMPL====CP " in include
      "CVI_EI_API_MAP_STRUCTURE======CU " in
     line 22:
     "Unspecified syntax error"
     " "
     " "
     " "

The include has been created and last changed by:
     Created by: "SAP "
     Last changed by: "SAP "
Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "CL_EXIT_MASTER================CP" had to be
      terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

What can you do?
Please eliminate the error by performing a syntax check
(or an extended program check) on the program "CL_IM_CVI_ADDRESS_UPD_IMPL====CP
      ".
You can also perform the syntax check from the ABAP Editor.

If the problem persists, proceed as follows:
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.

To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
     administrator.

Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.

Hi Thirumal,

I have seen a similar issue before, perhaps your case has the same cause.

This issue is caused due to an inconsistency in structure
VMDS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA_XFLAG. The runtime object of this structure
still contained 3 fields of an append FMFG_ALC_PMTOFFICE_XFLAG which,
however was deleted in SAPK-60501INEAPS during EHP5 installation.

Normally, deletion of an append should automatically trigger a
regeneration of the appending structure, but for some reason this
didn't happen in the mass activation phase of EHP5 installation.

Anyway, to resolve the syntax error, re-activate structure
VMDS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA_XFLAG and everything should be
consistent again.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Paul

There is an inconsistency in structure

VMDS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA_XFLAG. The runtime object of this structure

still contained 3 fields of append FMFG_ALC_PMTOFFICE_XFLAG which,

however, was deleted in SAPK-60501INEAPS during EHP5 installation.

Normally, deletion of an append should automatically trigger a

regeneration of the appending structure, but for some reason this didn't happen in the mass activation phase of EHP5 installation.

Anyway, to resolve the syntax error, re-activate structure

VMDS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA_XFLAG and everything will be

consistent now.

1. Go to transaction SE11.

2. In the "Data Type" field, enter VMDS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA_XFLAG.

3. Click on "Display".

4. Click on the "Activate" button to activate the structure.

Hi Thirumal,

glad things have moved on. The EHP implementation giudes have special sub sections for EHP update in a cluster environment. Let us know if any questions persist or issues arise.

hello,

Have you just uploaded the Patches or Finished applying?

If completed the process of applying check whether Patch Application is successful.

Moreover did you run SGEN to generate the Objects.

EHP5 Upgrade has been completed successfully and the system released for testing. It's throwing short dump when security guys create users and saving.

Thanks

Thirumal
