Sybase ASE install database paramater problem

Hello

During SAP NEtweaver 7.3 WAS JAVA installation "Sybase ASE Database system parameters" phase:

SAPinst return message

    Note: hard disk size exceeded for location /sybase/SJA (requires 4 GB).
    Minimal sizes of the database devices are 10G for data and 2G for log.

 

"Next" Button click dot not work, stay on the same screen ?

Os level disk size command return :

Hello Eric,

I've been through a similar issue inputting parameters for a NW 7.31 on Sybase ASE, although it was an ABAP system.

After you've made sure that you have made available all the space SAPinst needs (check through sapinst_dev.log to understand how it makes the calculation that your space isn't sufficient), make sure to STEP BACK in the installation wizard and then forward again to let the SAPInst run the space check again (simply RETRYing while staying in the parameter screen won't work...scratched my head for some time 🙂 )

Please ask your Hardware team to extend the file system for /sybase/SJA to 10 GB or higher

try to create /sybase/SJA/sybtemp mount point.
