Support package upgrade

Hi,

Where can i find recommandations or documents speaking about effects of support package upgrade on our developpements and customizations?

To be carefull which actions can i take before upgrading our support packages if i want to not loose my developpement and customizations?

Hello Zied,

Applying support packages will not make any changes in Customized objects. Make sure you have not changed SAP standard objects.

Also information about effects of changing Support packages will be available on marketplace.

We are upgrading SAP_BASIS, SAP_ABA , SAP_BW et PI_BASIS

SPDD_SPAU_CHECK is used only for standard SAP objects?

For ZDEV and our functionnal custo no effects after upgrade?

Hi,

As far as I know custom developments will not be changed by the suppot packages.If you have changed the standard SAP programs then you have to make modification adjustments to prevent support packge changing them.

Hai,

You can find lot of SAPnotes in the ServiceMarketplace. It all depends upon which type of Support Packages you are importing into the system whether SAP_BASIS,SAP_ABAP,SAP_BW or SAP_APPL.When you applying the Support Packages,there is phase called SPDD_SPAU_CHECK and asks you the objects which are upgraded with Support Packages to restore the original or retain the changes.
