Hello,
As required by the support backbone upgrade, we are going to upgrade our solution manager 7.2 stack 6 to stack 9 (linux oracle).
I have been looking for a note or guide from where I can start the procedure since its now separate abap and java stack.
I have downloaded the java and abap stack already.
1. Should I follow two separate guides or should I follow abap + java dual stack guide ?
2. For solution manager 7.2 sps upgrade, pre and post product specific steps which guide should I follow ?
3. How do I know if i am using focused run in 7.2 ? Isn't focused run only for HANA based solution manager ?
4. I know we have focused build on our solution manager which component do I need to upgrade for it ?
Thanks
Shradha

Thank you Andy !! I have gone through the note but note doesn't refer on how to update solution manager 7.2 as a separate ABAP and JAVA stack OR as an ABAP+JAVA stack ?
Thank you Shalin !! Which product should I look for under system->status to know if I am using Focused run , our solution manager is not on HANA
For support backbone upgrade, please see SAP documentation in Support Backbone Update.
In that documentation, you can read how to upgrade your solman.
Hello Shradha,
Did you find the answers to your questions? Can you share your experience with the upgrade?

First step for any upgrades --> Get the stack ready in Maintenance planner (For which there are pre-requisites like syncing the system to be upgraded with the Support Portal).
For guides, go to https://help.sap.com/viewer/product/SAP_Solution_Manager/7.2.09/en-US
You can check if Focused run is installed from SYSTEM --> STATUS in your SAP GUI (or) EWA (or) LMDB (or) Maintenance planner
