I have completed the upgrade of our CRM 7 and ERP 6 systems using the SUM SP05 tool in our Test Development environment to the latest SP and EHP. During the upgrade, the last phase of the Extract roadmap step is to download SAP Notes for tools. I did this in our development system and implemented the notes that were missing. This of course generated a transport which I successfully moved to our test QAS systems. Now I'm starting the upgrade of the QAS servers using the SUM SP05 tool, and I have arrived at the "Check 4 notes" step in the extraction road map. Since the notes were applied in Dev, and transported to QA I expected to be able to continue from this step as they are already in our QAS system from the Transport. However, the SUM tool will not allow me to move past this step.
I don't really want to have to apply the notes in each system separately, did I miss something? Besides, the QA systems and beyond won't allow me to apply notes directly due to system change settings (and rightfully so!).
Thanks!

You need to download all the SAP notes whether relevant or irrelevant into the system using SNOTE.
So download the SAP notes which are not relevant into the system with SNOTE as the relevant notes are already into the system through the transport import. The tool expects all notes to be in SNOTE.
Only then the tool would allow you to move to the next phase. This is true for EHPI as well as SAPup.
Thats how the logic has been incorporated into the tool .

Hi Ratnajit,
This means I have to change the system change option in our QA and Production systems to allow the notes to be downloaded. I am a little uncomfortable doing this.
I understand you are saying it is just for the tool to see that they are downloaded, and I realize that we won't need to implement any directly in the QA or Prod systems.
