we have a PI 7.5 system. which have abap and java stack(splited).

I need to upgrade the java stack SP Level from 14 to 25. and I am now generate the SYSinfo XML file for JAVA stack with SUM.and we encounter below errors (I don't know why it detected database is HDB because our DB is sybase):

Oct 31, 2022 5:45:33 AM [Info ]: Detected kernel database is HDB.

Oct 31, 2022 5:45:33 AM [Info ]: Detected kernel release is 753.

Oct 31, 2022 5:45:33 AM [Info ]: Detected kernel patch level is 900.

Oct 31, 2022 5:45:33 AM [Info ]: Detected kernel make variant is "".

Oct 31, 2022 5:45:33 AM [Info ]: Compatible releases for detected kernel are 740, 750, 751, 752, 769.

Oct 31, 2022 5:45:33 AM [Info ]: Kernel SAP KERNEL UNICODE LINUX_X86_64 with release 7.53, SP level 900, patch level 0 found in /usr/sap/PID/SYS/exe/uc/linuxx86_64.

Oct 31, 2022 5:45:33 AM [Error ]: The following problem has occurred during step execution: com.sap.sdt.jspm.gui.SystemDetectionException: Could not detect system components.

Could not detect version information of the current system kernel.

Could not detect system kernel under the /usr/sap/PID/SYS directory.

Could not detect central instance kernel in directory /usr/sap/PID/SYS/exe/uc/linuxx86_64.

Kernel of instance J40 on the local host is for database HDB which is different from the detected database SYB.

Either a wrong kernel is installed in /usr/sap/PID/SYS/exe/uc/linuxx86_64 or there is a problem with database detection.

above is all the error log I can find, So I cannot get the root cause why the system component cannot be detected. Now we cannot go on the upgrade process since this error.

Can anybody give more advice?

1. Mmake sure the Maintenance Planner is having the latest data about the system (LMDB data must be upto date with system info. LMDB - SAP portal sync to be done).

2. Fix any inconsistency errors in maintenance planner for that system

3. Regenerate the right stack file and select the right SUM version for the update.
