SUM not started from browser

SUM version is 2.0 SP27 and SAPHOSTAGENT 7.22 SP72.  SUM will be started and prompting the userid and password. But it is not working and it shows that Authentication error. We tried with the follwing notes 1563660 - sapcontrol, user authorization issues (SUM )2432795 - sapuxuserchk locks sidadm or sapadm use.

what is your command for running SUM on OS level? and what is the user you are starting this command? furthermore you can have a look in saphostexec logfiles on os level for detailed error messages

If it's on LINUX, you need to use the ROOT account. SUDO doesn't work.

Please check SAP note 3212686 - SUM: SUMSTART command terminates with error "permission denied"
