Hello All,
I have question regarding BW as a source system.
Today I have come across a scenario where data source's source system is same as my BW production system.
I am confused how the data is getting feed to these fields. How could I check from which table data is being extracted.
In what scenarios we will create BW as a source system?
Please help me to understand.
Regards,
Guru

Hi Guru
This is a normal scenario and the name of such datasource itself will give you the information on the fields and the source object name.
The datasource of BI will have the naming convention 8*********. Remove 8 which will be your object name which could be another info-provider. These are called data marts.
As this is your first question, a polite reminder that abundant information related to your question is already available in sdn/google. Please search before asking any basic questions.
Have a good day!
Regards
Karthik

HI,
if have the BW system as source system it will call as the my self source system.
basically working with APO+BW system you may see the myself source system.
in BW system itself will create the data source using the RSO2.
in that case we can use the this type of source system.
when ever you want extract data form the same system use the my self source system.
Thanks,
Phani.
