Solution Manager: Close Phase Cycle - Session Timeout (WebUI)

Hi all,

in our Solution Manager 7.2 (SP 11), we are facing the issue, that closing a phase cycle (SMIM) is taking so long (longer than 30 minutes) that my WebUI session runs into a timeout.
So I am currently not able to close cycles.

Is there any report available, for closing a phase cycle in background (maybe as a scheduled job)? I searched for it, but can't find anything.

Hi Eva,

you could try and use transaction SA38/SE38 to execute program CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT with the ID of your cycle as "Transaction No." and "SMIM" as "Transaction Type".

Set "Status Update for Change Transactions" to "Set Next Status Value" and remove the checkbox from "List Output Only (No Update)".

These settings can also be stored in a variant which allows to schedule the execution.

Unfortunately, this report can't be used for transaction type SMIM. I am getting an error message, when trying to execute it for my phase cycle. 😞

Selection screen was filled like you showed it in your screenshot.

The error message is weired... SMIM is Phase Cycle and not continual cycle and the given cycle is definitely a phase cycle.

The error may be a generic message text. But looks like there are some issues with the cycle (Might be some CDs not completed, which is failing some technical checks for the cycle to be closed).
