Solution Manager 7.2 Does ABAP and JAVA need to have the same SP Stack level?

Hello,

I'm in the process of upgrading SM 7.2 to FP 9. While for the ABAP stack i can select netweaver 7.4 and it will go through fine. (netweaver 7.4 also the recommended selection in Maintenance Planner)

For Java however (being on SP stack lvl 8 at the moment), it gives me no choice and selects netweaver 7.5. The problem now is, the current OS does not support Netweaver 7.5.

From the java stack we only use sld/lmdb/adobe services from what i'm aware of.

Can i operate SM 7.2 with ABAP on FP9 and JAVA on FP8 ? Thus delaying the OS upgrade till ABAP also requires me to update the OS?

I did some searching but couldn't find a satisfactory answer.

The Two Stacks must be at the same FP level. However Java can be at NW 7.5 while ABAP is at NW 7.4

Hello Christian Becker,

You can NOT run both on separate stack version

You need to upgrade OS prior upgrade.
