SMP 3.0 - DecryptPasswordError

Hi All,

During standalone Agentry Installations, when we used to have more than one Agentry Server in a landscape, managed by a Netscaler - We used to copy encryption keys from one server to all other severs - Otherwise the user used to get DecryptPasswordError when the agentry client connected to a different server from the one it connected earlier too.

Is it the same case with have multiple SMP Servers in a landscape. Do we need to follow the same process to copy the encryption keys from one SMP Server to all other SMP Servers. Or is there an updated process?

Can you kindly guide me if we need to do this in SMP 3.0 and if yes, can you point me to the right documentation?

Regards

Ankur Malhotra

If you have your SMP Servers in a cluster, the Key will be passed between the servers already, no process needed.

And when we say SMP Servers in a cluster, do we mean the SMP Servers sharing a common database. That is all right?

In the simple sense of it yes.
