SmartForm Date Picker Problem on Toggle Edit

Hello All,
I am having an issue with Date Picker component in a SmartForm. The field is called 'val_from' (valid from) and has no specific annotation in the CDS view. The CDS view is exposed via SADL and in the configuration settings, the val_from field is restricted as a date (instead of a timestamp). Generally, the SmartForm seems alright and appears as how it should be BUT the val_from field is weirdly reducing one day as the user clicks on EDIT button which only sets the setEditable feature of the SmartForm as true.
