Our BAS shows no Simplified Git:
It still appears on this help: https://help.sap.com/docs/bas/sap-business-application-studio/git-source-control?locale=en-US&versio...
This inconvenience occurs all subaccounts and our developers.
Maybe some degrade of BAS?

Hello.
From what we know tied to simplified git, on earlier iteration of the SAP BAS which included custom, high level wizard like Git panel designed to abstract away standard command-line Git concept for developers moving over from SAP Web IDE to BAS.
So from the above, SAP aligned with BAS standard Code OSS/VS code behaviors.
The legacy "Simplified Git" was deprecated and phased out in favor of the standard or native VS Code Source Control View.
So sometimes when some custom SAP buttons rely on it for staging and found the panel missing on a BAS platform, the underlying Git functionality did not disappear, it just transitioned entirely to a standard industry UI panel or the integrated terminal.
The above is what we know.
Now looking at the picture where the Activity Bar/View Context Menu is shown in the SAP BAS. Looking directly at the available views, the Simplified Git is entirely missing from the selection list.
So it may appear that the view itself is gone from the environment.
So from the above, the extension layer is missing. So the working theory is that it is disable or deprecated in more recent platform update across the subaccounts.
So if you do the Ctrl+SHIFT+G that may be the standard, native VS Code OSS Git interface instead.
The team can probably use your Gitlens.
So in summary: BAS will always accept the standard Git Commands like git add, git commit and others.
The shift may be a minor bump for developers who may be looking at the old wizard style but most likely the team has to do the standard source control panel or terminal.
This is what I can tell from the above.
Regards,
Mark
