Signavio - While uploading Attribute file data is getting repeated for CASE ID

Hi,

We have development data extractor and creating Log file and attribute file for data related to Project definition and WBs elements.

Case ID is with refence to Project Definition

Project Definition is Created and then Released. So we have captured these as events. And also captured these 2 status in attribute file in different rows.

In Log file we have 2 event rows with reference to 1 case ID as Created and Released

In Attribute file also we have capture Status information in 2 rows with 1 case ID as CRTD and REL

After uploading Log file and attribute file data maintained in attribute file not getting loaded as per file with status's given in attribute file as CRTD and REL. We suppose to get 2 rows with status as CRTD and REL against the case id.

But signavio is repeating data from CRTD status row and not updating data of REL. In data view against case ID we are getting 2 rows with CRTD status.

Can i get some view / guidance on this issue.

Also want to know can we have multiple rows for case ID or we should have unique row for case ID ?

In my case it is not possible to capture all required data in attribute file in unique row against case ID so we are creating multiple rows against single case ID.

Regards,

Pradeep

Hello Pradeep,

Outside of the recommendations to review the training resources, we can offer the additional information below:

  1. A case attribute file must have one row per case. All other information needs to be aggregated to the case level.
  2. If this is not preferred, then connecting the information to the event level is an option.
Most of our customers do not use the final event log upload but the full-fledged process data management where all joins and SQLs are possible.

If you feel further guidance is needed, you may want to create a support ticket via
SAP for Me (log in with S-User ID and password).
You will need to select the specific SAP Signavio product / component:

System:
Search for SAP Signavio

Product Area:
SAP Signavio Process Manager > SAP Signavio Process Manager

Component:
BPI (Business Process Intelligence)

BPI-PI (SAP Signavio Process Insights) or
BPI-SIG (SAP Business Transformation Suite by SAP Signavio) – Product & Topic

You can find more details in the Onboarding Resource Center under Support & Community.

Kind regards,

Good day Pradeep,

In response to your inquiry, we recommend going through the Signavio trainings for Process Intelligence or the Fundamentals of Process Mining.

SAP Signavio Process Intelligence

Analyzing Business Processes with SAP Signavio Solutions

It seems that you do not use our PDM (process data management) but the simple file upload. In the simple file upload only final event logs can be uploaded. The structure looks similar to this for the case attributes and the events listed below:

Activity Log

Kind regards,

Kantrice D.

Hi Kantrice,

We are not using SAP given process data management since for PS there is no standard template from SAP side. That is the reason we are using file upload method by creating log and attribute files.

My question is if we capture various details against case ID in multiple rows in attribute file, signavio reads and repeats 1st row details for other rows and not capture the details available in multiple rows individually. Is it standard behavior ? If yes then what is solution available to capture multiple details against single case ID ?

i.e. Case ID is with reference to project definition

1. Now when capturing multiple status against Project definition we need to create multiple rows in attribute file

2. Against project definition there are various WBS elements and network activities and to capture those details we will have multiple rows in attribute file. It is not possible to capture all details in single row per case ID / Project definition

Can you please guide on this.
