Dear BW experts,
We are facing issues while executing query from portal/RSRT. XXX SIDs from characteristic XXX are missing(CL_RSDM_READ_MASTER_DATA_SIDVAL_DIRECT_READ2) is the error message received. Upon debugging the the given method, a select query is fetching the records from the SID table of the characterictic. While the query is executed, for the failed SIDs when I check the SID table entires are present in the database. What could be the reason for the select statement not to fetch the records when they actually exist in SID tables in database? Kindly help is anyone has faced issues like this. Thanks.

Thanks all for your responses. The issue was solved by myself and it was due to buffering settings of SID tables in our system. As the SID tables were fully duffered, the new SIDs which are created in the table are not reflected in the buffer and hence the error. We have deactivated the buffer and it is working fine. SAP notes 912174 and 550784 explain about this issue. Thanks.
Regards,
Usha.

Hi,
I suggest to execute all master data checks using t/code RSRV for the affected Characteristic.
Best regards,
Sander
