We need to transfer data from one SAP system to another SAP system. Unfortunately, we also need to include already archived data (ADK) files in the new SAP system. Is there a way to retrieve already archived documents back into the SAP database in order to then perform the system transfer and store the files physically in the new SAP system? Please do not comment that this is a bad use case. Unfortunately, I have to examine this exact use case. And I am asking myself whether this is fundamentally possible. The SAP system is an on-premise system (2023).

Hello @BE_JF
to reload the archived data back into the database table the archiving object must have implemented a reload program. This is not the case for all SAP archiving objects. Reloading should only be used in exceptional cases.
In your case I would recommend to contact the Data Management and Landscape Transformation team, see also https://me.sap.com/notes/460620
