sapinst parameters

Hi,

when I run sapinst from a Windows host using TKMSVR, I'm not able to give properties (e.g. SAPINST_SET_STATE=TRUE) with sapinst.

Also simple properties don't work

<path_to_sapinst_dir_on_master_dvd>\sapinst.exe -p

Doesn't give the parameters but just starts up sapinst.

I need to provide properties with sapinst for TDMS.

Netweaver 2004 SP23

iSeries V5R4

Hi Nicolas,

if you open a cmd line and call sapinst.exe -p, SAPinst will start as normal. For iSeries, it will request that the TMKSVR is already installed and running since it will try to log into if before returning with the available properties. This properties will be displayed in the SAPinst window and not in the commad line prompt.

So when I execute "sapinst -p", when exactly will i see the outcome of that parameter?
