Hi..

Am trying to create a shortcut in my desktop to transaction so01. When i use that shortcut i get an error message saying that the server description i have selected does not exist in the saplogon.ini... but when i check in the file saplogon.ini, the server is listed. where should my saplogon.ini file lie. In my system it is in C:\WSROOT folder.. should anything be done to enable this feature?

Regards,

Pradhiba

Hi,

Check the ini file in your WSROOT.

Also check for the IP address of ur server.

Hi Sam,

I have mentioned that the file is present in WSROOT.. My doubt is if it should exist in any other folder like the folder in which SAP resides??

Hi,

in the short cut, choose Dev Server or appropriate one in the topmost description listbox and the host will be greyed out .Apply this. It'll work,

Sam.

HI..

When i select the description, host is greyed... but error pops up saying the selected desc could not be found in the system list. check if saplogon.ini exits and choose an existing sys desc from the system list...

u know that saplogon.ini exits and has an entry for the server also..

Hi John,

I created it using the 'Generate a Shortcut' icon in transaction so01.. this icon is in the application tool bar..
