SAP system interaction

Hello everyone!! I would need some technical information also a little detailed on some points that I list below:

What other applications other than "easy access" can interact directly with an SAP system?

Not as an export, but as a direct interaction with the databases managed by an SAP system? is it possible with "file maker" ??

Someone can give me a general overview and help me understand how it works?

Are you asking about integrating https://www.filemaker.com/ with SAP systems? I think it is a better question for the FileMaker community/forums, not the SAP Community.

As far as I know, there is no specific support for FileMaker from the SAP HANA Smart Data Integration application, which is the specific product where you have posted this question.
