Hello Community,

we moved our System to a new server and now SAP Screen Personas 3.0 add on does not work. The error is this one:

SAP GUI for HTML failed to initialize SAP Screen Personas.
The most common reasons are listed in SAP Note 2313501.

After clicking on the "ok" button the gui will be loaded but doesn´t give a response when you click on any icon which is defined.

We sure checked Note 2313501 and also did the health check in /PERSONAS/ADMIN.
We also checked the sicf services and we also changed the servername in the /spro transaction.

The follogwing parameters changed during "homogenous" systemcopy:

DB: MaxDB changed from 7.8 to 7.9

OS: Linux changed from SLES11 to SLES12

SAP Kernel: Changed from 745 to 753

Servername: changed from "x" to "y"

The systemcopy was done by export/import R3load based.

So is there any thing which should be done after a systemcopy with servermove ?

Is there any screen personas specialist who can help by "administrative" changes ?

If you need further information so please let me know 🙂

Thanks in advance to everyone

Best regards

My first guess would be that your Personas installation is on SP05 or older. Those are not compatible with your newly installed 753 kernel release.

For Personas, anything under SP08 is not supported anymore so you must upgrade the PERSONAS add-on to get it working with the 753 kernel. I'd suggest going to SP10 (the latest).

Thanks Tamas for your rapid support, this was exactly the solution.

We switched Kernel from 753 to 749_PL800 and it works for us.

We choosed this option because we are doing the migration of PRD system this weekend and we are not able to do an upgrade to SP10 in this short time.

Best regards

Glad it worked for the time being, however keep in mind that performance in the 749 kernel's webgui will be worse than with the 753 kernel. Thus, your best bet is to return to the 753 kernel as soon as possible, and of course upgrade Personas so your installation becomes supported.
