SAP Observability Service?

I’m reading about the new strategy shift of the observability architecture in Kyma, and it seems that SAP suppose to release the SAP Observability service, is there any further information in any place about this service?.

Hello Max,

as outlined in my blog post, Kyma is shifting the focus from providing an in-cluster observability stack towards a simple and vendor-neutral integration with cluster-external backends or service providers. Hereby, integration with SAP offerings are prioritised, whereby the SAP observability portfolio consists of multiple services focusing on different capabilities. Currently, I cannot give you any news about planned additions to this portfolio. Such announcements are usually made at the big conferences like the upcoming TechEd.

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for the reply, I can see that the new version of Kyma is totally modularized including the telemetry component, great work!.

I really hope to see a new Service for SAP Observability announced soon, and maybe with one of the bigger providers with the SAP logo on top of it 🙂

Regarding to the new released telemetry component, is there any plan to release blogs/documentation to demonstrate how to configure the pipelines with direct & indirect integrations?.
