SAP Gateway server installation

Dear All.

As of SAP Netweaver 7.4 required component for Gateway are included.

Now my query is shall i need to perform SAP Netweaver ABAP server installation or Standalone Gateway server installation.

What is difference between this two ?

Hi Nikunj,

It is same. When you install NetWeaver ABAP 740, Gateway component SAP_GWFND is installed as default a part of 740.

Hi Masauki,

we are planning to isntall also central hub Installation. we have in erp dev, tst and prod system.

I think, deployment on erp is the best way for us.

Now the question: how is the landscape for nw Server, according the erp? that means also one Server for dev, one for test and anther one for Prod? database for NW 7.4 Gateway Server necessary?

I would say one each for Dev, Q and Prod makes sense. This is similar to what you would do with PI server for example.
